General Cleaning Tips:
1) Always clean surfaces by rubbing in the direction of the grain
2) Regularly dust with a clean, dry, lint-free cloth. Furniture with a high-gloss finish requires extra care to prevent dust and smudges from being overly apparent. Avoid scratching by using a feather duster or a very soft, clean cloth, wiping with minimal pressure
3) To clean up messes, such as food, use a mild soap and clean cloth
Polishing Your Furniture:
1) Furniture should be polished every 6 months using a clean, soft, lint-free cloth rubbing in the direction of the grain.
2) Polish contains detergents, emulsifiers, and mineral oil. Detergents clean dirt from the furniture, emulsifiers give it body to clean and last longer, and mineral oil acts as a barrier for dirt and moisture
3) Avoid silicone cleaners as they seep into the finish, creating a barrier that will not accept stain or lacquer. This makes it virtually impossible to refinish or touch up your furniture down the line
4) Avoid waxes as regular use may result in a build-up of wax film on the surface of the furniture which could attract dirt, resulting in smudges and streaks
Protecting Your Furniture:
1) Always use drink coasters and placemats, and wipe up any spills
2) Use protective pads under hot dishes
3) Cover the bottoms of anything that touches the wood with a felt pad
Special Note - Do not expose wood to extreme changes in humidity or temperature, and try to keep out of direct sunlight

General Upholstery Cleaning Tips:
1) Vacuum furniture regularly with a soft brush attachment and rotate cushions as needed
2) Blot stains with a clean, white cloth and check the cleaning code under the cushion for further instructions. All cleaning products should always be tested on an inconspicuous area before attempting overall cleaning. Do not machine wash cushions unless specifically stated. We recommend using a professional cleaning service whenever possible
3) Avoid abrasive cleaning products
General Leather Cleaning Tips:
1) We recommend frequent dusting or vacuuming with an upholstery attachment
2) To remove soil or stains, take a lightly dampened cloth and use a mild solution of non-detergent soap and water to gently wipe the stained area. Do not rub, and do not use furniture polish, saddle soap, oils, varnishes, ammonia water, or harsh soaps. Let dry naturally and repeat if necessary
Leather Maintenance:
1) Leather should be conditioned every 6 months to protect and restore
2) Conditioning may darken some leather or bring out the natural inconsistencies inherent in all leather. Always test in a discreet area first and follow any specific manufacturer care instructions
3) Apply a small amount of conditioner to a lint-free cloth, then thinly coat the surface of leather

4) Do not machine wash cushions unless specifically stated. We recommend using a professional cleaning service whenever possible
